When I try to print, nothing happens.
Printing from your computer is primarily controlled by settings in Microsoft Windows. Determine whether your printer setup in Windows is correct by using the Windows Printing Troubleshooter.
If you are using Microsoft Windows XP
If you are using Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later
The printer settings I selected are not reflected when I print a view.
In the Print dialog box, click Page Setup. All printing options must be selected in the Page Setup dialog box, including font styles and sizes. Font styles and sizes set when you create a view are ignored when the view is printed.
When I click Page Setup, the print style I want isn't listed.
Print styles are saved with each view type. They do not appear in the Print style box unless the currently selected view is based on the same view type as the print style you want. To select a print style you created, you must first be in a view that is based on the same view type as your print style. For example, to see the Card style print style you must be in the Contacts folder and using the Address Cards view.
Each view has its own print options. When you change views, the print options change. For example, to see the print options relating to the Calendar, you must be in Day/Week/Month view or another Calendar view. When you print an e-mail message formatted as HTML, or a new message using Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor, the print options will be different.
I want to remove the border from my print job.
I want to remove the gray shading from my print job.
When I print a week or a month, the text is cut off.
Microsoft Outlook will only print as much text as will fit into the view. Try decreasing the font size, or print with the Daily print style to get the complete text.
I printed more days than I want.
Microsoft Outlook prints the items for the days displayed in your view. So if you are viewing a month and select the Daily print style, items for each day of the month will be printed.
I do not want to include Saturdays and Sundays when I print my Calendar.
If you want to print only weekdays, Monday through Friday, click Page Setup, and then select the Don't print weekends check box.
I do not want to include tasks or notes when I print my Calendar.
To remove tasks or notes or both from a printed calendar, on the File menu, point to Page Setup, click the print style you are using, and then clear the TaskPad or Notes area (blank) check boxes.
Print preview is disabled for e-mail messages.
Print preview is not available for HTML formatted messages. You need to change the mail format to plain text.
Note If you save the message, you will lose any HTML formatting in the message, such as pictures.
Attachments will print only to the default printer. For example, if you have printer A set as the default, and you open a message with an attachment and choose to print the e-mail message to printer B, the message will be sent to printer B, but the attachment will go to printer A.
When I print a list of my contacts, the Contact Index doesn't print.
I want to change the number of blank contacts that print.
A view that is based on the timeline or icon view type cannot be printed. To print a view of journal entries or a view of a file list, use a table view type.
On the Go menu, click Journal.
On the View menu, point to Arrange By, point to Current View, and then click any of the following:
Entry List
